Challenging Times
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown in South Africa, as well as the precarious economic situation that prevailed prior to the onslaught of this pandemic, it is expected that the South African economy will be in a deep economic recession for a the next few years. As a direct consequence of these financial challenges that lie ahead, the need for humanitarian aid in South Africa will dramatically increase whilst the availability of donor funding will likewise and simultaneously decrease.
The Need to Adapt
When businesses find themselves facing uncertain financial difficulties, they look to re-engineer themselves in order to sustain themselves into the future. Likewise, there is a need for various NGOs to possibly re-engineer themselves as we head into the turbulent times that lie ahead. Muslim NGOs in particular have been doing some incredible work in the past and like the Muslim community are always availing themselves to assist members of all communities, faiths, colours and creeds. Muslims for Humanity is an initiative formed by several Muslim businessmen, professionals, donors and other humanitarians to try and assist the various Muslim NGOs, especially during the challenging times that lie ahead. We believe that by cooperating we can create more synergies and be far more efficient in serving humanity.

Muslims for Humanity
Our initiative (Muslims for Humanity) will not be another NGO, but rather an association of donor and Muslim NGOs initially based in the greater Durban area with aspirations to very quickly grow to the rest of the KZN province. Our resources can be better pooled together whilst we are all feeling the financial effects of Covid-19 to best assist with basic humanitarian aid during these challenging times that lie ahead.

We welcome you and the value you bring in demonstrating the effectiveness, efficiency and economy of delivering a world class service to humanity.
